Preciate is a team of cybersecurity experts developing state-of-the-art facial recognition and personalization technology for retail, hotels, and hospitality. Our technology empowers businesses to provide their customers with an outstanding, personalized, and seamless experience.

The Challenge

Preciate began its activity around 2018 and has been growing since then. But, with this growth came a need to re-examine the environments and technology being used, and Preciate’s ability to efficiently control costs.
Have modern IaaS & PaaS services fit the current needs. Something that was started by the customer that is missing in the current environment and modernize the stack to cloud-native technologies and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and a service mesh.

The Solution

The customer chose GCP because of the security tools Google provides, custom VM sizes, Global VPC.

GKE – For running many microservices in different production environments (implemented with Namespaces) ISTIO – Service Mesh for Traffic routing, security and visibility Prometheus – Cloud-Native monitoring for Kubernetes & VMs with exporters for all kinds of backends used e.g. redis, kafka, couchbase AlertManager – Routing/Dedup Prometheus alerts

Cutting-edge technologies – consulting on and delivering a variety of workloads, taking into account Kubernetes and Istio to improve security and cost-effectiveness.
Security compliance – consulting on selection of third-party tools to support Preciate’s Security requirements, including endpoint protection, central log management, application audit logs, data protection algorithms, Kubernetes security, infrastructure perimeter security, and evidence provided as Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
The Result
